NYC - Several members of the Triple Cities Ski Club (TCSC) of Binghamton, NY attended a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday, March 29. It all started with a chance meeting of David Letterman while skiing at Deer Valley Ski Resort in Park City, Utah 3 weeks earlier on a TCSC trip.
That sparked the idea of trying to get tickets to see the Late Show in New York City. Before the show started, the group visited the Hello Deli and had their picture taken with deli owner (and Late Show personality) Rupert Jee. They also saw Que-card holder Tony Mendez and stage manager Biff Henderson while in the area. It was interesting to see the mechanics of how the show is created. One of the best parts of the experience was being able to enjoy longer versions of musical performances by Paul Shaffer and the CBS orchestra.
