Just before Sunset tonight, I could see several Turkey Vultures in Owego, flying over the Halstead Development off 434. Several more joined this group coming from over the Village. In total there were at least 20 of them. They flew low, seemingly playing in the wind over the development, then disappearing Westward down 434 and/or Rt 17. I know these are pretty unusual looking birds having no feathers on their heads and bright red skin, but it seems I can never get them to slow down enough or fly low enough to capture a good picture.
