We enjoyed a beautiful spring day in Sapsucker Woods Bird Sanctuary in Ithaca. It's a magical place with several well-cared for trails where you can enjoy seeing a variety of animals in a habitat of ponds, forest, and swamp areas of ferns and brush. A beautiful visitors' center in Cornell's Lab or Ornithology is located in the sanctuary where visitors can get information, borrow binoculars, explore on your own, or even join a guided bird walk. This year, they are featuring Great Blue Heron cams where you can watch their nesting herons 24 hours a day.
