September's 2012 floods did a real number on much of the Village of Owego and the Riverwalk had most of the vegetation, mulch and topsoil washed away. For the last several days many volunteers have toiled very hard to make this attraction beautiful again. Equipment and material for this effort was donated by local businesses. Much progress has been made and can be seen and appreciated. Much still needs to be done.
