The last week in April every year I cut a few oranges in half and put them out to attract the Baltimore Orioles when them return for the summer. Last week they returned and I had four of them eating the oranges. They have been here several times a day since to eat at the oranges. I also put out grape jelly that they love. Last year they built a hanging nest on a limb that hangs over my deck. After the young fledged the parents would bring them several times a day to feed on the jelly and oranges. I have to replace the oranges every 4 or 5 days. It is such a joy to sit on the deck and watch them.
Baltimore Orioles return for the summer.
