May has been the best month for Lightning in Maine, NY. We are around 900 ft in altitude. some clear days yoy can see all the way south to the PA border. sometimes a Front will be across the border. Lightning from cloud to cloud isw awesome! This storm came from the southwest. only a couple miles of view.
