I felt compelled to submit a "story" for YouNews because I'm sure that there must be others out there like myself.
I have lived in the Southern Tier for almost my whole life and currently reside just 2 miles from Tioga Gardens. Yet, I have never experienced this wonderland of all things flora.
Today marked my first visit. This place is awesome! They have everything from exotic palms and whimsical vegetation in the tropical conservatory (where I'm sure some fairies reside, too), to rows and rows of potted vegetables, herbs, and flowers in every color imaginable in the greenhouses, to a beautifully landscaped property suitable for weddings and other formal events.
My children and I marveled at all this as well as the many ponds, the stunning orchids, and the fountains suitable for granting wishes.
The best part: It's free! Gardens in larger cities charge admission for similar venues, but here, you can browse to your hearts delight. Hooray for local small businesses!
My only regret: I wish I would have discovered this treasure much sooner!
They do have some excellent deals on their potted vegetables right now - including many tomatoes for buy one get one free.
Don't wait - go experience this amazing place!
