Owego Free Academy is the site of "The wall that heals". This is a scale model of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington DC. People are able to look up specific names and then are directed to specific areas of the wall where the name is. There is far more than the "wall" to view. You can also see what could be described as a museum on wheels as well as memorabilia that could be purchased. There are several groups present that support the causes associated with this traveling tribute. There is no fee for admittance, but there are locations where if one wishes, they can make a donation.
