The last storm that passed over Greene Showed it's Brilliant but deadly veins. I just got lucky and pressed the button at just the right moment. I spent an hour and a half sitting with the tripod but couldn't beat this first shot freehand

what an awesome shot!! I've tried several times to get lightning without a tripod and it doesn't work too well most of the time.
