Bomb Scare downtown closes Collier St

Maintenance workers found a suspicious looking package and drug paraphanalia outside the Collier St Parking garage this afternoon, causing the Binghamton Police, Binghamton Fire, and Endicott Bomb Squad to respond. The device was deemed a thread by BPD, and removed by a robot supplied by the Endicott Bomb Squad. The street and parking garage was closed for about 2 hours, and re-opened at 3:30pm today.
