What kind of 'dragonfly' is this ?!?

What kind of 'dragonfly' is this ?!?

An interesting insect - just what is it ? There were three of them in a small vicinity. Very unique (to me anyway); with very detailed/beautiful patterns throughout it's entire body. The more I zoomed in, the more interesting it looked.
