Motorcyclist hit in Owego, by a car on 434 at the on ramp to 17W/Elmira, and Halstead Ave. Cyclist sent to the hospital by ambulance. Family said he went into surgery/ICU last night and is expected to be okay. This "You News" contributor, was at the site, and took a photo of the officer giving the car driver a field sobriety test. With my own family members living in Philly who just went through a motorcycle accident, through the fault of a taxi driver, it's so important that people be vigilant about keeping an eye out for motorcyclists. They are very aware of their surroundings, but can only go so far to protect them selves and others, if other drivers are not as aware as they should be.

Thanks RJ Mikuski. I'm keeping updated through a close friend of Ken's (vicitm) wife. Things really do not look good for him. And it's all because someone had to have that one last drink and get behind the wheel of a vehicle.

An update on the motorcycle accident victem... First diagnosis seemed to indicate Ken had no major injuries but it has been determined that he has a great deal of intrnal injuries and is still in the ICU, now in a coma and on a ventilator.
