News from Owego Mayor Kevin J. Millar. As reported by Wendy Post of the Owego Penny Saver:

HELP NEEDED: We are collecting the following items: Water, blankets, pet food, towels, and non-perishable items to deliver to a distribution point in Brooklyn on Saturday. This point is working with all the shelters to distribute items by need. Please drop items off at the Owego Pennysaver, 181Front St., Owego between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. today through Friday. We will be delivering these items Saturday. We know many stocked up for the storm, and we were spared. Maybe we can pay it forward and help these folks in the city. This effort is being coordinated between myself, and Councilman Lebin's office in Brooklyn. We will also be contacting the ASPCA to deliver needed pet food items. Please share.
