This is a copy of the letter i sent to broome county highway dept:
can anybody tell me what U.STELLA IRELAND RD means?..univeristy of?..under?..its supposed to be UPPER stella ireland rd! i've lived here for 23 years and theres been NO SIGN marking upper stella,now we get one that says U stella ireland rd?..you couldn't have made it a couple inches longer and put UPPER on it..or even UPR??..and for middle you've got M.stella ireland (MID?)and lower is(of course) L stella ireland.(LWR?).can't anybody down there spell?did you run out of metal? not enough paint?why did they bother putting them up at all?

i can't wait to hear the answer to this!
