Native American, Albert White, had a large size poster of his artwork stolen off the fence at the temporary construction wall at the justice building in Binghamton. The County Executive's Office had invited artists to display artwork on the wall while the building is undergoing renovation. Albert sprayed it with UV protector, glued it, stapled it and sprayed it again with outdoor shellac. It lasted outside very well....but someone really wanted the picture. The poster is a political cartoon of Indians on a shrinking reservation surrounded by "civilization". Someone spent a lot of time to pry the poster off the fence. It was placed directly across form the police station! This isn't the first time this has happened. Other artwork has been stolen from the wall earlier.
