Every evening for the last week after dark we get a vist from the pictured owl who stays and hunts for about an hour before moving on. He uses the security spot lights to illuminate his prey. He's about two feet tall with a 4-5 foot wingspan. He's really beautiful to watch.

Wow, what a nice shot! I wish I could locate an owl in our area! It's a shame that WBNG doesn't seem to want bird shots anymore. They now very rarely feature any bird shots and a lot of us really miss the animal shots they used to post.
