Even in the frigid 29 degree temperatures last night, it was a pleasure to talk to Paul Kapr,the owner of the Big Dipper Christmas Tree Stand in Apalachin. Every year, it's a sign of the season, when from the high way you see the outline of a Christmas tree with green lights. Just like seeing the giant ice cream cone from the high way in the summer. The Green lights tree draws you in to something very worth while. Stop by for a cup of hot chocolate and candy canes guaranteed to put you in the mood. This family owned business has big plans, so don't expect them to go away. They are only going to get better. With more people beginning to see the value of family traditions, Mr. Kapr said they are also starting a 'Self cut' Christmas tree farm, where families choose their tree as it stands and cut it themselves.
