This red-tail hawk swooped down to catch this rock pigeon in our backyard this afternoon. While the hawk was eating his catch, another pigeon flew in and walked around very close to the hawk seemingly oblivious of the danger!

Hi Geode my chickadee friend with a camera ;) I love hawks. I miss the 2 that used to fly over me every day. Since the lights from the Fracking Rigs went up, I have not seen them -likely another causality from a dirty greedy Industry.

I've seen many animals respond to situations like we think people do. I wonder if the vising pigeon knew the victim. It was certainly putting itself in a dangerous situation, with the hawk so close.
