2 bear cubs were stuck in a tree in the Village of Owego today 4/30/08. The Mother Bear came to them with 2 more cubs in tow. It took the cubs over 2 hours to climb down out of the tree and join their family.

Reminds me of several yrs ago coming face to face with a bear in the middle of Endicott. Hope pics were pics taken with a telephoto lens. I guess with 4 babies, she understandably had trouble keeping track of all the lil buggers.

Very nice shot but BEWARE! Take much care that you DO NOT get between the Mother and Her Cubs! She will defend them in any way She can if She feels they are threatened! MANY People get hurt or killed every year because of this.

Momma doesn't look real happy, but even in this case, leave them alone, and they will go their own way, Great job, We can all live together.

Ohhh they are so precious momma is beautiful and helthy looking too hope they don't cause much trouble
