When sitting at the table eating my lunch today I heard a loud tapping noise coming from outside. I got up looked outside and spotted this Pileated Wood Pecker across the road pecking at a dead maple tree. I quess it was looking for lunch. He stayed for about 15 minutes. What a pile of shavings he left at the bottom of the tree.
