At 10pm on Thursday night East Branch Fire Department was toned out to this house fire on Main St. The Norwood residence. 6 Fire Departments from East Branch, Hancock, Downsville, Walton, Cooks Falls, & Roscoe, responded to put out the blaze. The house was a total loss. What a sad night for this family and friends.

Channel 12 news has consistantly referred to this fire as being located on East Main St in Norwich, but it was not in Chenango county at all. East Branch is in the Walton area.
