Baby fawn hiding waiting for its mom

A Sunday morning surprise

I went outside early Sunday morning and saw something under our apple tree. I wasn't sure what it was until I got closer and realized that it was a baby fawn. I wasn't sure if it was hurt, so I went to tell my husband and son. We went back out and the fawn appeared fine but was "hiding" waiting for its mama to come back. I walked down the driveway to see if maybe she had been hit by a car, but as I walked down I saw her standing in the woods watching us. We quickly went back inside and I took pictures from the window.
I took some shots of the baby standing, walking around sniffing and finally finding a new hiding spot near my car in some brush. Not long after the baby moved the mama deer came out and looked for her new baby. Too bad I could only put 3 pictures on. It was very neat to watch!
