Local ski club's Adopt-A-Highway on Rt 17 in Endicott

TCSC Keeps Endicott's Route 17 Clean

Twenty Triple Cities Ski Club (TCSC) members volunteered their time early Sunday morning to clean up alongside Route 17 in Endicott as part of the Adopt-A-Highway program. Carol Brugger adopted this stretch of the highway in 1997 and TCSC has been committed to keeping it clean since then. Volunteers get together twice a year for what we sometimes call a "treasure hunt" and then go out to breakfast afterwards. NYS DOT wrote to the ski club, "We would like to take this opportunity to commend you for your dedication and diligence in keeping your location so well tended. Your group is one of the reasons this program works so well in keeping Broome County beautiful. The Adopt-A-Highway program in the Broome County area plays a vital roll in keeping the community clean and attractive."
