NYOW Railroad Bed

NYOW Railroad Bed

This is where the NYOW trains crossed under the DLW (now SW Railroad) railroad bridge. The former NYOW rail bed in the picture was heading towards Sherburne Four Corners. Rumor has it the DLW and NYOW raced to and from Norwich from this point. The tracks ran near each other into Norwich. The NYOW ceased operations in 1957.
