I quickly snapped these pictures with my cell phone, afraid if I ran inside for my camera it would be gone. Such beautiful skies here in "The Greater Binghamton Area" today. The few clouds in the sky were pretty as it were, like the hair on the main of a horse. But to then see the colors of a rainbow splashed across the clouds? What a treat. I also saw the halo around the sun. I think that was called a "sun dog"? and in the winter months, I'd see this around the moon, and we'd usually get snow. So what's the scoop now? Ahhh the coming rain, right? So Lessons I need to revisit? Cloud names, rainbows that are not shaped like "Bows", and what the name of the circle/halo around the sun is?
Teach us the name again Howard?
