Newly emerged Widow Skimmer

The eyes of a Dragon

On my Tuesday walk around the Otsiningo Park pond I saw this recently emerged Widow Skimmer Dragonfly. As it seemed reluctant to fly I was able to make several rare photos from very close range with my Macro lens. One that shows the detail in the dragon's eyes was very tricky to get as I was holding the insect on my left forefinger while trying to focus the heavy 150mm Macro lens in my right hand. Somehow I managed to pull it off. Thank You, Lord!
