Gems on a cob

A feast for the eyes

The weather was a real treat today. At the Cider Mill, I found a feast for the senses. They sell corn stalks for decorating, and 'Indian corn'. I've always loved the gem like colors you can find. There are two different sizes. A sweet little gift for a teacher or co-worker, or just to put in that little spot at home is right there! Mini pumpkins made into vessels for dried flower arrangements. 7 of the little white pumpkins made it home with me to place on my mantle. I enjoyed it so much outside that I never made it inside for Cider and donuts. Awww Gosh. I guess that means I'll have to go back.

I make necklaces with Indian Corn and turquoise. I string the kernels while they are soft, and after they dry, I restring with turquoise beads.
