Nika's Geometry

Nika Builds Perfect Snowy Triangle

As of 9 AM Wed, we had just a foot of snow in West Corners (have had another 1.5" up to 3 PM). Nature usually likes curved lines, but as I started to brush off the deck rail, this perfect isosceles triangle caught my eye. I'm sure the slope and maximum height of the triangle is somehow a function of the water content of the snow. (Is there a meteo school formula for this???) This one is 9" high on a 5.5" base. My high school math teacher would be so pleased to know that I remembered some geometry a half century later!
