N.Y.S. Worlds Fair Token

150th George Washington Inauguration

On April 30, 1939, a very hot Sunday, the fair had its grand opening, with 206,000 people in attendance. The April 30 date coincided with the 150th anniversary of George Washington's inauguration as President in New York City 'Wikipedia'
Happy Presidents Day , I dug up this Token this past Summer I found it with a Metal Detector. The picture is a side by side of the Front and Back of the Token. Between My Camera and Metal Detector I have been getting some serious History lessons . I just love to research things I find with either one of them.

At New York's World Fair they made many different type's of souvenir Tokens. This one was probably in someone's pocket for a Lucky Charm and they lost it . It's in good shape considering it's age ...lol... It was Brass platted as well Not Gold:(
