Christ the King Lutheran Church Workcampers leaving for Delaware

Bound for Workcamp in Delaware

Seven youth and three adults left this morning for Delaware from Christ the King Lutheran Church. The group will be meeting other youths from many different church backgrounds to serve others. They will be painting houses, building ramps or building decks for people who are unable to do so. All of the youth participated in fundraising in order to raise the money to attend the workcamp. They will be spending the week sleeping on a school floor, taking showers in a locker room, eating camp food, and completing work projects for people in need. This is the seventh year that Christ the King Lutheran Church in Vestal has sent a group to Workcamp. The entire congregation supports these students and are very proud of them. They will be returning next Saturday.
