Harry Smith comes out into the crowd to take his picture with us

Amy &Tony DeLousia go to the Early Show!

During the majority of the past year I have had to travel to New York City, often on a weekly basis, to receive medical treatment for chronic and sometimes disabling auto-immune conditions that I have called Psoriatic (sor e a tic) Arthritis, Sarcoidosis, and an inflammatory eye disease called Uvitis. My trips to New York are often a whirlwind as I am a student at BU and have to rush back home to Binghamton to attend classes or to take care of other academic obligations. This leaves me no time to do anything fun when I’m in the City.
Late last Thursday night while driving to our parents/grandparents house in Westchester County so I could go to the City Friday to pick up medical supplies from my doctor, Tony and I decided to get up extra early Friday morning, July 18th to go check out the Early Show. We had so much fun!!! When Harry and Maggie came out to the plaza I asked Harry if I could take his picture but couldn’t hear what his answer was. Tony and I were totally shocked when after filming their first segment on the plaza Harry came over to us and asked another person in the crowd to take his picture with us. The guy who took the picture said that he couldn’t get a good shot due to the lights in the background. At that point we were shocked again as Harry came out into the crowd so we could get a better picture with him.
Everyone who worked at the Early Show was genuinely nice. It was obvious that everyone, including the man who gave people in the crowd free bagels and coffee, really enjoyed their jobs. Harry said that one of the things that he likes most about his job is that every day is different. One of the things that impressed me the most was how after the show was over, Harry stayed out on the plaza until everyone was able to take pictures with him. If you are ever in New York City I highly recommend that you go see the Early Show, you will have a great time!
