The Color Run

Jane of All Trades

Student, worker, best friend, and last but not least, my mother. Shelly Rusin is a one woman power house. As I've grown up my mom has been my back bone. As a child she waited for me to get off the bus everyday, ready with homemade cookies. She never missed a school event, she came to all the room mom events with cupcakes and goodies in tow, stayed after hours to make the Courtyard at Ann G. McGuinness Elementary School bloom with colorful flowers. She went above an beyond for my sister and I.
In the past couple years she decided to go back to school to pursue a career as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Plunging forward in her studies she has acquired a 4.0 GPA and made it into the PTA program at BCC while still working to help support our family.
Late nights of studying and long days of class and work have weighed on her spirits as it would on anyone's but she has continued to keep her spirits up and push forward.
She's an inspiration to anyone working toward's their goals, a regular wonder woman, my mother.
