I was 3 years old

Thomasina is the greatest Mom ever

The pictures I am submitting are of my Mom and me when I was three years old outside of the house that my Dad built for her in 1964. The next picture is of my family and my Mom for her 85th birthday party in Windsor,NY. The last picture is at my sisters' house in Uniondale, PA where we get together every year for a cookout and golf. That picture was taken a few years ago, as my sister Rosemary who is on the left of my Mom, passes last St. Patricks Day.
I am the youngest child out of 10, my Mom, Thomasina Normile deserves to be chosen because she is amazing, she is now 85 years old and has done so much for everyone of her children, and her friends when she can. She lives on a fixed income and is constantly thinking of someone else. She has been my Mom, my best friend, and I would simply be lost without her. She has been a widow for 29 years and lives on her own in a Senior Independent Living Complex and she still drives herself. She is very active still and loves get togethers with our family. We grew up in West Windsor, NY and after my older siblings grew up, they spread out across the country, and my father had heart issues since I was five, so my Mother was pretty much the sole provider going out to work at Lourdes Hospital and then later, General Hospital when I was four. She worked and supported our family until 1985, when my Dad passed away. Then my Mom went back to college at what now is called Binghamton University for Music Theory and graduated. It was her dream to teach music all of her life. She moved to Alaska and lived there for eight years and has traveled to Paris, Croatia, Rome to just to name a few places. I wish to let her know how much she has become my role model and my hero, and that is why I am entering her into this contest, to say Thank you for being such a super woman.
