Bringing Home the Bacon-er-Bugs

Shot these pictures of a pair of Cardinals that are nesting in a neighbor's bush today. The female is very cautious as she approaches the nest site and often makes several patrolling flights before entering the bush. Meanwhile, poppa Cardinal is out providing for his family as you see in the shot of the male.

I have three pairs of Cardinals that come to my feeders and when the nestlings get bigger the father will feed the little ones seeds at the feeders. The pictures are lovely.
