For over 34 years Emily has been my partner in life and ministry; sharing lifes joys and it's inevitable sorrows. She has been an example of devoted service to our family and to those whom we have pastored and known. She consistently demonstrates consistency of charachter, faith in others, kidness to the hurting and needy and courage when she comes up against something that threatens to crush all of our hopes and dreams. She has been my lover and best friend, my confidant and my strong support. When our son was murdered she was the one that kept me together when she was as emotionally destroyed as I. When our home was flooded in 2011 and we were living with others it was her that stood beside me as we threw away roll off boxes of our posessions. She never once cried or asked "why us?" She is mother to our five kids and grandma to our ten grandkids and I can not imagine my life without her. "Many women have done virtously but thou, daughter, have excelled them all.
(Of course I am a little biased...I have every right to be and I want the world to know).
