Veteran World Champion Heads to Serbia

Last September in Sarajevo, Bosnia Jason Goldman attained his dream, becoming a Freestyle World Champion. With seconds clicking off the clock the Russian opponent was winning with a score of 5-3 and avoiding the tie. Jason attacked over and over and as he locked up and threw the Russian to his back time ran out. Although the Russian Coach challenged the replay upheld the call and Jason won 7-5. Jason also won the Silver in Greco Roman. On August 22nd he will depart for Serbia to defend his Championship and "GO FOR THE GOLD" in Greco.
Jason a 1993 graduate of Maine Endwell, their undefeated State Champion and Hall of Fame Inductee also graduated from Binghamton University as a 2x NCAA All-American and Hall of Fame Inductee.
Jason's Dad Mark will go along as the USA Team Lead for the second year in a row. Last year the 32 Man contingent brought back 27 Medals. This year they hope to do even better.
