Summer Storm Takedown

On Tuesday August 5th, Residents residing on and near Old State Road experienced what started as a typical summer thunderstorm that quickly turned into a hailstorm with menacing winds. Trees fell,outdoor furniture was picked up and relocated, power lines damaged, and homes were pelted by nickel sized hail. County, NYSEG, and emergency crews began work last night to remove a fallen tree from Old State Road and to restore power to residents in the area. County tree crews continue the cleanup today.
