BP Alternative Energy wants my father and me to sign an easement allowing them to destroy our private road, put metal gigantic poles with high voltage wires on our property and basically allow them to do what they want to get their power from the wind farm on our mountain to Procter and Gamble. There's just one problem; the reason I own my house and my property is because I want a place not tainted by noise, neighbors, buildings, wires, or any such commercial structure. I don't want high voltage wires around my home. I don't want to explain to my bed and breakfast guests how nice the property USED to be before the wind towers came. I don't want the people that paraglide or parasail from my western lookout to stop because of the risk of running into high voltage lines. I don't want the humm and crackle of high voltage lines to interrupt my peace and quiet when I sit outside. I don't want the additional lightning strikes and surges that come with such wires. I don't want my private red dirt road to become a highway for large machinery. I don't want any of it. I want what I have now, and I would like to keep it the way I like it. Guess what. It's not a free country anymore. My father and I have been threatened and our time has been taken due to the demands of attandance of meetings in which they tell us about how they will take over our property whether we like it or not. Our properties are not ours at all. Apparently eminent domain superceded property owners' rights when a project will benefit the community. So, it really doesn't matter that I have sunk money and hard work into my personal heaven. Apparently the community owns it, not me. My father and I haved both suffered effects on our health from the stress imposed by these wolves in sheeps clothing. These people are monsters, dressed as cute little children knocking on your door asking you to help them. Some of these companies are self-serving. The work they are doing is for the benefit of someone - just not who you think.
