Hail Storm on Ives Settlement Road

There was a hail storm last Sunday, August 10th, which left the corn on the Ives Farm in ruins. The hail stripped the leaves off the stalks and the hulks off the cobs. Even the corn kernels were popped off. The temperature went down to 32 degrees and left 3" of hail on the ground. These pictures are the aftermath of the storm, taken 8-16-2008
