This is my sister, Beth Ann MacIntosh, a 29-year-old born and raised in Norwich, NY now living in North Carolina. She is trying to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society so that she can run a half marathon in Phoenix Arizona on January 18th. Her goal is $3,800 dollars, but she would love to earn more for this truly needed research. Beth has reached $1,380, but due to the hard times which so many of our family and friends have fallen on lately, we have exhausted our donating network and now must search for funds from a wider circle. Donation can be made to the team at http://pages.teamintraining.org/nce/pfchangs09/bmacintosh. If a sponsor would rather get something in return for their donation, Beth is an incredible crafter and has purses, jewelry, clocks, and shadow boxes for sale to help the cause. These items could make excellent tax-deductible Christmas gifts with true meaning. Items are available at www.unc.edu/~macintos. The Following is a statement written by Beth as to her motivation for participating in this event.
I am training to complete a half marathon that will take place in Phoenix, Arizona on January 18th. I am completing this event in honor of all the individuals who are battling blood cancers and in memory of my grandfather, Charlie MacIntosh (Popeye). He is pictured here at age 75, a year before he passed away due to leukemia. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
A donation of a dollar can make a difference.
Please help Beth reach her goal, and be part of finding a cancer cure.
