Our pomeranian, Iroc, turns 20 on March 8, 2009

Pomeranian turns 20!

My fiance, now husband, bought me a dog to keep me company when we first moved in together since he traveled every week. We lived at Indian Ridge Apartments at the time and went to the pet store in the Oakdale Mall back in May of 1989. There was this adorable white pomeranian whole stole my heart. We named him Iroc since at that time we would have loved to had the car, but just starting out, a new sports car was just not in our budget. We moved to Lexington, KY where our first son was born, then to Columbus, OH where our second son was born, then back here to the Southern Tier 11 years ago and Iroc is still with us! He's been deaf for many years now and had cataract surgery at Cornell a couple years ago, but his sight has deteriorated since then. He sleeps a lot, but loves to eat! The family never anticipated him living so long and as you can see from his picture he doesn't look like he's 20! Happy 20th Birthday Iroc!!! We love you!

What a great story and what a great friend you've had in Iroc all these years. Good for him! Happy Birthday!
