On Thursday, March 12th Woodland Manor held a party for one of the Resident Aides, Donna Roberts. Donna came to Woodland in March of 1989. She had previously worked in a local SNF and wanted to make a change. She came here and trained as a Resident Aide. Since that time, Donna has become more than an Employee here. She has definitely become a part of everyone’s family. She is always smiling and is a great role model for other employees.
The day started with a Resident, faking illness to distract Donna so the staff could set up the party area. The Resident then said she wanted to go and hear the musical entertainment being held in the dining room and needed someone to walk her in. Donna walked in to find all of the Residents, Staff, Family and Friends waiting for her. There was music, snacks, cake and gifts. We had a great time. DJ Raux, Regional Director of Operations for Emeritus Senior Living and Vestal Town Supervisor, Pete Andreasen both joined us for the party. Donna was truly surprised and honored to be recognized.
