Four Senior Girl Scouts from Windsor High School teamed together to earn their Girl Scout Gold Award and build a fitness trail for the village of Windsor. Emily Greenfield, Nicole Marshall, Heather Pratt and Sarah Sitek have been working with school officials and members of the community for two years to groom the trails, set up fitness stations, plant a memorial garden and prepare a guide to wildlife on the 1/2 mile long trail. A ribbon cutting was held Sunday May 17, 2009. The festivities included a blood pressure booth, zoomobile, dunking booth and refreshments.
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest recognition a girl can earn and requires 75 hours minimum of leadership to earn.
