On Saturday, May 30th, the Whitney Point High School Band traveled to Allentown, Pennsylvania to compete in the Music in the Parks Festival at Dorney Park. The group received 1st Place Class A Concert Band with a Superior Rating. In addition, the band was awarded the distinction of OVERALL CHAMPION HIGH SCHOOL CONCERT BAND DIVISION. This award was given based on score, regardless of the size of the band. The band is directed by Mrs. Kris Gilbert. Congratulations to these talented students!! GO EAGLES!
