Three Free Public Events Featuring Nonviolent Communication
On June 20, from 10 am – 1 pm Internationally renowned Colombian trainer of Nonviolent Communication Jorge Rubio, will be offering a FREE PRESENTATION at the UUCB, 183 Riverside Dr, Saturday,. The presentation will address how we can support ourselves and others in dealing with trauma as we consider the tragedy at the Civic Association and other painful losses. We will learn how to come from a place of natural compassion in how we respond in all kinds of situations.
On Saturday, June 20 at 7 pm at Appalachian Collegiate Center, Binghamton University Marc Weiner, will be conducting Healing Walks for all who wish to participate. Marc Weiner the Empathy Labyrinth creator is a professional comedian and trainer of nonviolent communication and uses The Empathy Labyrinth® to foster empathic Heart-to-Heart connection and the awareness that we can choose connection, not alienation. It is being applied all around the world to parenting and families, schools, business relationships, spirituality, anger management, conflict resolution and personal growth and healing.

CONCERT FOR PEACE AND COMPASSION
At 7:30 pm on June 24 at Appalachian Collegiate Center, Binghamton University Singer/Songwriter Cecilia St. King offers you music that makes you feel good right down to your toes. She is a Peace Troubadour with a range of melodic balladry, that embraces Acoustic folk pop, R&B and a hint of Jazz,
She recently appeared at the United Nations, the Ghandi Institute of Non-violence, and as the Keynote Musician for the North East Department of Peace Regional conference. As well as reaching out to Spiritual communities Cecilia is continuing to enjoy a growing presence on the stage of world politics. She sang for Presidential hopeful candidate Dennis Kucinich and performed for Howard Dean's campaign. She also opened a speech for Dean on the Eve of the Democratic National Convention that introduced Barack Obama.
