We have been waking up to this sound for a month now. It took us couple weeks to figure it out and this morning I was able to capture this morning "event" on video. It's a wood pecker either announcing to other males that he is around, or calling the ladies :) He is hanging on a street sign and often goes to another one up the street. he has been coming every morning at approx 6.45am...it's a great way to get up to go to work :)
