Long hoped for, the Owego Riverwalk project got started yesterday with a ground breaking ceremony attended by Rep. Maurice Hinchy. The 1200 ft project begins at Draper Park moves east under the Court Street Bridge, passing behind the Historic Front Street Riverow business district and ending at Mayor's park. The project is expected to be completed in November of 2009, with only minor landscaping left for the spring of 2010.
