I let my chicken free range a little each day in my Afton back yard, So this morning I let them out and was just thinking I should put them back in their coop when I saw all of them run up to my house and look down at their coop. So when I looked to see what scared them I saw this Black bear checking out the coop. I wonder if he is looking for a new home for the winter.

It seems that bears have become much bolder and eager to feed on anything easily available, in which bears have become very used to easy food. Until I had one under my porch. I have since stopped feeding birds, as DEC said this bear could be killed
