I moved away from my Texas home many years ago, however, a few years back, when visiting my parents, I dug up a small cactus from the pasture. I figured it would be too cold here, or too much rain, but it has actually prospered and this year has more blooms than ever. It reminds me of home and my parents every day when I see it..
