Tully (WSYR-TV) - Deputies have released the name of a man critically hurt in a crash in Tully Friday night around 10:30.

37-year-old Michael Sipe was traveling along 81 northbound when his car drifted off the road and the back onto it. The vehicle flipped 5 times and threw Sipe from the car. He was taken to University Hospital, where he remains at this hour.

81 North was shut down at the Tully exit for a time and northbound traffic was diverted off 81 at the Preble exit.

Deputies are continuing to investigate the crash.

Michael Sipe, 37, remained in critical condition Saturday morning at University Hospital after a one-car crash Friday night on Interstate 81 in Tully.

The crash occurred at about 10:40 p.m. near Exit 14, where Sipe was traveling northbound.

According to police, the vehicle Sipe was driving drifted off the right side of the road, then reentered the roadway and rolled over several times. Sipes was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to University Hospital by ambulance.
